CNN Data Chief: Epstein Files Becoming a 'Nothing-Burger'

Weeks after expressing shock at the American public’s fascination with Jeffrey Epstein and the Trump administration’s mishandled investigation into the late sex offender, CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten now describes the issue as “quickly becoming a nothingburger,” according to The Independent UK.

Vice President JD Vance reignited calls for the release of the “Epstein Files” during a Fox News interview with Maria Bartiromo, mocking Democrats for their sudden interest in the case. “For four years, Joe Biden and the Democrats did nothing about this story. We know Jeffrey Epstein had ties to left-wing politicians and billionaires,” Vance claimed. “Yet President Trump demands full transparency, and Democrats are attacking him instead of the Biden administration, which did nothing.”Vance’s insinuation that Democrats are complicit in Epstein’s crimes led pundits to demand more public documents.

On CNN’s News Central, anchor Kate Bolduan asked Enten about the data surrounding the Epstein story.

“From a political perspective, this is turning into a dud,” Enten replied, noting an 89% drop in Google searches for Epstein over three weeks. “It’s no longer the top term searched with Donald Trump’s name—tariffs and Vladimir Putin have taken over,” he said, adding that public interest is “falling through the floor” and becoming a “nothingburger.”
