Des Moines Radio: Suzi Collings To Exit Lazer 103.3

Suzi Collings, a beloved host at Lazer 103.3 (KAZR-FM), a rock radio station based in Pella, Iowa, serving the Des Moines area, announced her departure after 22 years with the station.

Lazer 103.3, branded as "Everything That Rocks," is known for its active rock format, targeting primarily men aged 18-49 with a mix of new rock and classic hard rock from the '70s and '80s.

Suzi hosted the midday slot from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, contributing to the station’s lineup alongside personalities like Heather Lee & Wickett in the mornings and Wes Styles in the afternoons. Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the station, which is owned by Saga Communications under the Des Moines Media Group. 

During her 22 years, Suzi would have been part of the station’s evolution through various programming changes and the broader shifts in radio amid growing digital competition. 

Her exit follows other recent transitions at KAZR, such as the departure of longtime Program Director and afternoon host Andy Hall in June 2024, after nearly 25 years, succeeded by Wes Styles in September 2024.
