Seattle Radio: 100.7 The Wolf Raises $261K+ For Vets

100.7 The Wolf (KKWF-FM) in Seattle celebrated Veterans Day by collecting over $261,000 for Northwest Battle Buddies (NWBB), which provides American heroes suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with service dogs through its annual Service Pets for Vets fundraiser. That will provide at least nine new veterans with a service dog. This year’s funds raised was a $50k increase from last year’s donation total.

In line with Audacy’s I’m Listening mental health initiative, this campaign recognized the internal warfare soldiers encounter after returning home from combat. The suicide rate for U.S. Veterans is a staggering 22 per day. NWBB’s caring canines help struggling Veterans regain their independence by providing comfort that reduces symptoms of PTSD.

The fundraiser culminated on Veterans Day - Saturday, November 11 - when Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts performed at The Wolf's Service Pets for Vets Concert, presented by Family Law Solutions. 100% of all ticket sales directly benefited NWBB.

The Morning Wolfpack with Matt McAllister’s Matt, Gabe and Captain Ron encouraged listeners to donate on air from November 6-10. Audacy Seattle’s Throwdown concert with Tim McGraw in June also contributed to the fundraiser’s grand total.
