Cable TV Ratings: Fox News Dominates The Top 10


Fox News finished No. 2 in total primetime viewers for the week of June 19, 2023, finishing behind only ESPN, which earned a boost from the College World Series, according to TV Newser

FNC’s 1.53 million viewer average in primetime is -2% from the week prior (June 12, 2023), but its 160,000 average in the primetime demo is +5% from the week before. In addition to finishing No. 2 on basic cable in total primetime viewers, Fox News ranked No. 11 in the primetime demo.

MSNBC, on the other hand, saw its two-week streak as the top-rated cable news network among Adults 25-54 in primetime come to an end.

Fox News had eight of the 10 most-watched cable news shows of the week, including the top seven. Jesse Watters Primetime secured second place with a 2.22 million viewer average at 7 p,m., followed by a Trump interview-boosted Special Report with Bret Baier (2.09 million at 6 p.m.), Hannity (2 million at 9 p.m.), The Ingraham Angle (1.72 million at 10 p.m.), Fox News Tonight (1.68 million at 8 p.m.), Gutfeld! (1.67 million at 11 p.m.), MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell (1.66 million at 10 p.m.), Outnumbered (1.55 million at 12 p.m.), and Deadline: White House with Nicolle Wallace (1.5 million from 4-6 p.m.) rounding out the top 10.
