Audacy Announces Extension with Julia Lepidi

Audacy announced a multiyear contract extension with radio and multi-media personality Julia Lepidi. Lepidi hosts her daily radio show “The Julia Show” on 12 Audacy brands nationwide, including B96 in Chicago, ALT 98.7 in Detroit and 98.5 KLUC in Las Vegas.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Julia Lepidi," said Dave Richards, Senior Vice President of Programming, Audacy. “Julia’s growth from promotions to a national on-air host embodies the radio industry. Her energy and ability to connect with fans and artists have made her an invaluable asset for the Audacy brand, and we look forward to her entertaining and connecting with her listeners across the country for the foreseeable future.”

“I started at Audacy as a 20-year-old promo kid,” said Lepidi. “I've always been so incredibly grateful for their belief in me, and I am so happy to continue growing ‘The Julia Show’ brand in multiple formats surrounded by a great team. Thank you to David Field, Susan Larkin, Dave Richards, Jeff Sottolano, Brian Kelly and Christine Malovetz for their continued support. And, of course, my agent Paul Anderson and Workhouse Media for making this possible.”

Through her daily show, Lepidi reaches 1.2 million listeners every week and is No. 1 in her timeslot in several markets nationwide. She began her career in radio in Detroit in 2015 by accidentally punching a member of MKTO in the face and injuring him for the duration of his tour during her first week at the station. It’s been a dream ever since then. Outside of radio, she enjoys muting her television and creating dialect between the people on TV that is inappropriate and, lately, pokè bowls. Her hidden talents include being a contortionist, and she is known to pop her shoulders out of their sockets at the bar to make men uncomfortable and go away (it works).
