Elvis Duran Group Partners To Launch Casting Initiative
Atlas Media Corp, the New York TV/Film/Digital production company, has entered into an exclusive agreement with the Elvis Duran Group to activate radio legend Elvis Duran’s passionate audience of 10+ million listeners to help find talent for documentaries, docu-series, reality and lifestyle shows.
The announcement was made today by Bruce David Klein, President & Executive Producer of Atlas Media and David Katz, Chief Executive Office of the Elvis Duran Group (EDG).
This innovative nationwide casting initiative will deputize millions of eyes and ears to help find talent that Atlas Media and the Elvis Duran Group can develop into TV shows, documentaries, short-form webisodes, podcasts, and other content.
Through verbal prompts on the top-rated Elvis Duran & The Morning Show, and related social media blasts, listeners and fans will be encouraged to submit their TV-friendly friends, family members, and interesting local personalities to a nationwide talent search on elvistvcasting.com.
Atlas and EDG will review the submissions and offer development deals to the most promising talent. Resulting projects will be pitched to networks and SVOD platforms. Beta-testing has been underway for nine months, and the initiative has started working with several cable networks to fill specific casting needs.
“You can scour You Tube, do a zillion Google searches, make cold calls, travel to small towns, attend conventions – all to try to find a superstar talent, the proverbial needle in a haystack,” says Klein. “But partnering with EDG puts this process on steroids. We suddenly have scale, with the super-engaged Elvis Duran fan base, millions strong, serving as our eyes and ears to cast the widest possible net and help us and our network clients find the most engaging fresh talent out there.”
