Laura Ingraham brings her brand of firebrand conservatism to TV starting tonight.
Ingraham takes over the 10 p.m. ET time slot Monday at Fox News with "The Ingraham Angle," as the network continues a reboot of its prime-time weeknight lineup, reports BizWoman.
The New York Times calls Ingraham “an ardent nationalist, a Trump confidante, and a foe of open borders.” Her show is the network’s pitch to appeal to “the working-class, populist sensibility that is the beating heart of the Republican Party right now,” she told The Times.
Ingraham, 54, was one of the first commentators to endorse Donald Trump, which won her a speaker’s slot at the Republican National Convention in 2016.
Since working in the Reagan administration, Ingraham has risen as one the nation’s most conservative voices, with a nationally syndicated radio talk show and several best-selling books. She will continue the radio show along with the new television program.
The Washington Post calls her "the queen of conservative talk radio."

Her newest show is an outgrowth of a weekly segment she did on “The O’Reilly Factor.”
The Times asked Ingraham if she was bringing a Breitbart audience to Fox News.
“I wouldn’t call it a Breitbart audience. I would call it America,” she replied.
The addition of Ingraham comes as the network has had to reset its lineup after the sudden departure of O’Reilly in April and the rise of competitor MSNBC.
Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show finished the third quarter of 2017 as the No. 1 cable news show, scoring with overall viewers and the 25-54 demographic coveted by advertisers.
This quarter, Maddow faces Sean Hannity's talk show, which beat Maddow in the first week going head-to-head against her, Politico reports. In the week of Oct. 16, Hannity's show Wednesday was the most-watched cable news show of the week, but Maddow's show drew the most viewers among adults 25-54, according to TV Newser.
Fox also is adding Shannon Bream in the 11 p.m. ET hour, the first time a live show is in that spot.
