Marlena Adkinson, a 41-year radio veteran was inducted into the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Adkinson’s 41 years have all been spent at KTPK-FM in Topeka. She has served in traffic, news, production, promotions, and programming. Most recently, until she retired in March 2017, she was the Production Director and Midday Personality on KTPK-FM.
Tim Kolling, Alpha Media, Topeka Account Executive was the recipient of the Mike Oatman Award. This award recognizes outstanding achievement in Kansas broadcast sales, sales management, and mentoring others to sales success.
Larry Riggins, Alpha Media, Topeka Market Manager was elected Chairman of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors for 2018. Riggins has served on the board since 2014 and was previously Chair-elect and Secretary-Treasurer.
“I am exceptionally proud of this team. Their dedication to the listeners and clients is unreal and I am proud to work next to them every day. I am honored to be elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and look forward to making this a great 2018,” remarked Riggins.
