SF Radio: KFOG Announces Concert For Kids Headliners

Cumulus Media’s KFOG 104.5 FM announces the 2016 Concert for Kids lineup, now in its 31st year! The holiday concert is taking place Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the Masonic in San Francisco, with Band of Horses, Blind Pilot and The Revivalists, and benefits UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and Marines Toys for Tots.

Bryan Schock, KFOG Program Director, said: “Band of Horses has been one of my favorite indie rock bands for the last decade, and we’re excited to have our longtime friends, Blind Pilot, back in the Bay after their recent sold-out Fillmore show. When it comes to songs I just can’t get out of my head, Wish I Knew You by The Revivalists is at the top of the list! I can’t wait to see all three of the bands live, and when you take into consideration that it’s all for such a great cause, I know it will be a very special night in San Francisco.”

Tickets for Concert for Kids go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 21st at 10am through LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Tickets are $42.50 (Floor or Balcony GA), $58.00 (Balcony VIP) or $68.00 (Floor VIP) plus applicable charges.

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recognized throughout the world as a leader in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care. For more than a century, they’ve been offering the highest quality medical treatment. Today, they are one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation, according to a ranking by US News & World Report. Their expertise covers virtually all pediatric conditions, including cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders, organ transplants and orthopedics as well as the care of critically ill newborns.

The Marines Toys for Tots program’s mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October/November/December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
