Kudos to California-based morning talk host Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty for another succesful Fish House fund-raier.
The weeklong Fisher House Foundation fundraiser held by KSTE, Sacramento-based morning drive talk hosts Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty raised more than $544,000 surpassing an announced goal of $500K. The show's five-year total is now past the $2.3 million mark.
Fisher House Foundation CEO Ken Fisher says that the money raised is important. “But just as important is the awareness they have brought to listeners about the needs of our veterans, military and their families - a reminder that as Americans we owe a huge debt to these men and women. The listeners of A&G have certainly taken that to heart. Joe and Jack were the catalyst for this important donation, but it was their listeners who made it happen. To all of you, on behalf of the thousands of lives you will touch, I say thank you.”
Armstrong & Getty are based at KSTE Sacramento and are heard in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Honolulu, and San Diego.
