He will begin his new position on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
Blue most recently spent the past nine years as the evening host at WXKS-FM KISS 108 in Boston.
The radio veteran launched his radio career in Lebanon, New Hampshire at WGXL-FM. He went on to host afternoons at WRZE-FM on Cape Cod and KHKS 106.1 in Dallas, before heading to WZFT-FM (Z104.3) to do mornings in Baltimore.

“Greater Media Boston remains committed to attracting our industry’s “A” talent,” said Cadillac Jack, director of programming at Greater Media Boston. “The addition of a compelling personality like Jackson Blue clearly reaffirms that. When presented with multiple opportunities as to where he wanted to grow his career, I’m thrilled Jackson chose Hot 96.9 and I’m very confident that our listeners will be as well. “
“I am so excited to be joining the Greater Media family” said Blue. “I have been listening to HOT 96.9 since it signed on and it really has brought a shot of excitement to Boston radio. I’m also very happy to get the opportunity to work with Cadillac Jack again. He hired me in Boston nine years ago and is a brilliant guy. Big thanks to Cadillac, Market Manager Rob Williams, and Greater Media Chairman and CEO Peter Smyth. I can’t wait to get going and help continue the growth of HOT 96.9 in Boston!”
