WANI’s
morning show, Auburn-Opelika This Morning, was named the Best Radio Talk Show
in the state. The show, which features Station Manager Andy Burcham, Julie
Burns and Rich Perkins, airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and involves
multiple local guests, special features as well as complete local news and
sports coverage in cooperation with the Opelika-Auburn News. This is the
seventh year in a row the show has won the ABBY Award for Best Radio Talk Show.
Also
presented an ABBY Award was News Director Julie Burns. Burns, who also co-hosts
Auburn-Opelika This Morning with Burcham, was the winner of the ABBY Award for
Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast for Radio.
This was the third time Burns has won the award and fourth time for
WANI.

shows by winning the award for the best talk show in the state for the 7th year
in a row."
