101.5 LITE FM (WLYF-FM), an Audacy station in Miami, has unveiled its new weekday lineup, marking a new era for the station. Ashley O. steps in as Music Director and midday host from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET, followed by Jess Bonilla taking over afternoons from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.
The changes follow the retirement of beloved radio legend Gayle Garton, who served South Florida listeners for 34 years as a trusted on-air voice, Music Director and Assistant Brand Manager.
“Gayle’s impact goes far beyond the music she played or the hours she spent behind the microphone. Gayle helped define what LITE means to South Florida, she’s our Matriarch and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given our listeners, our station and our team. While no one can ever truly replace a legacy like hers, we are honored to build on the incredible foundation she left behind,” said Michelle Stevens, Brand Manager, 101.5 LITE FM. “As we move forward, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Ashley and Jess to the “Lite Team.”
“Afternoons in Miami? What could be better!” said Bonilla, who launched her radio career in Detroit in 2000, holding various promotion roles. In 2002, she joined Audacy Orlando and has held several roles during her tenure, including on-air host and Promotions Assistant. She will continue to serve as the midday host for Mix 105.1 in Orlando.
📻Listeners can tune in to 101.5 LITE FM (WLYF-FM) in Miami on-air and nationwide on the Audacy app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social media via Facebook, Instagram and X.
