Little Rock Radio: KARN Food Drive Exceeds 4,000 Pounds, $8K+


Cumulus Media announces that Little Rock News/Talk station 102.9 KARN-FM successfully concluded its United We Feed Food Drive benefiting the Arkansas Food Bank, helping local families struggling with food insecurity and hunger. The popular station put its on-air and digital platform to work to collect donations of 4,000 pounds of food and $8,075 during the two-day event held on Thursday, November 6th and Friday, November 7th at Chris Crain Dodge Jeep Ram at the Big Lot on I-30 in Benton, AR.

Toby Howell, Program Director, NewsRadio 102.9 KARN, said: “We want to thank all of our partners for their generous donations and support, including the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas for their donations, Chris Crain Dodge Jeep Ram for providing their location as a food drop-off site, Elite Movers for donating a truck to be filled with all the food, and The Justin Minton Law Firm for all the onsite help. Also, thanks to Dale’s Donut Shop and Lokal Koffee Roasters of Benton for providing food and drinks on location.”

Howell added: “It is a special gift to be able to bring our community together to help our neighbors struggling with hunger and food insecurity. We thank everyone who donated to help make the holidays a little brighter.”
