During the week of April 7-13, FOX News Channel (FNC) averaged 3.2 million viewers in weekday primetime once again topping ABC (2.7 million viewers) and NBC (2.4 million viewers), according to data from Nielsen Media Research.
- In Monday-Sunday primetime (8-11 PM/ET), FNC drew in 2.7 million viewers and 321,000 in the 25-54 demo, commanding all of cable with viewers.
- In Monday-Sunday total day (6 AM-6 AM/ET), FNC posted 1.7 million viewers and 212,000 in the 25-54 demo.
- The Five was the most-watched show in cable news with nearly 4.1 million viewers and has commanded over 4 million viewers for 21 consecutive weeks.
For the week: The Five averaged nearly 4.1 million viewers and 436,000 in the 25-54 demo, leading cable news across the board, and marking the 21st consecutive week the program surpassed 4 million total viewers. At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 3 million viewers and 324,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Ingraham Angle saw 2.9 million viewers and 346,000 in the 25-54 demo at 7 PM/ET. At 8 PM/ET, Jesse Watters Primetime delivered 3.6 million viewers and 428,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 9 PM/ET, Hannity posted 3 million viewers and 350,000 with A25-54. At 11 PM/ET, FOX News @ Night secured 1.6 million viewers and 247,000 in the 25-54 demo.
FNC’s The Will Cain Show continued to drive up the ratings at 4 PM/ET commanding 2.3 million viewers and 297,000 in the 25-54 demo, a 60% increase with viewers compared to the same week last year.
At 10 PM/ET, FNC’s late-night offering Gutfeld! secured 3.1 million viewers and 394,000 with A25-54. Gutfeld! once again topped the broadcast competition including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2,017,000 viewers; 390,000 A25-54), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1,476,000 viewers; 235,000 A25-54), NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1,056,000 viewers; 238,000 A25-54) and Late Night with Seth Meyers (694,000 viewers; 160,000 A25-54)
FNC continued to see a number of its daytime programs outpace the broadcast competition. The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4 PM/ET; 2,327,000 viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 2,060,000 viewers), The Story with Martha MacCallum (weekdays, 3 PM/ET; 2,053,000 viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1-3 PM/ET; 2,028,000 viewers), Harris Faulkner’s The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11 AM/ET; 1,963,000 viewers) and America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET; 1,888,000 viewers) all led CBS Mornings (1,834,000 viewers), NBC’s Today Third Hour (1,702,000 viewers), ABC’s GMA3 (1,214,000 viewers), NBC’s Today with Jenna & Friends (1,150,00 viewers) and NBC News Daily (1,136,000 viewers) with viewers.
As markets reacted to President Trump’s implementation of tariffs, FOX Business Network delivered four of the top 10 business programs with viewers. Notably, FBN has scored the top business program with viewers for 152 of the past 153 past weeks. Making Money with Charles Payne (weekdays, 2 PM/ET) delivered its highest rated week since 2020 and The Claman Countdown (weekdays, 3 PM/ET) delivered its highest performing week of 2025, each earning 218,000 viewers.
On Saturday: Life, Liberty & Levin (weekends, 8 PM/ET) was the most watched show of the day, notching 1.5 million viewers and 109,000 in the 25-54 demo. My View with Lara Trump (Saturday, 9 PM/ET) was the second most watched show of the day with 1.5 million viewers and 125,000 in the 25-54 demo. FOX News Saturday Night (Saturday, 10 PM/ET) was most-watched among the 25-54 demo (196,000 A25-54).
On Sunday: Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures (Sunday, 10 AM/ET) was the top show of the day with 1.8 million viewers and 229,000 in the 25-54 demo. Sunday Night in America (Sunday, 9 PM/ET) was the second most-watched program with 1.6 million viewers, while One Nation with Brian Kilmeade (Sunday, 10 PM/ET) was the second most watched program in the 25-54 demo with 210,000 A25-54.

“World News Tonight with David Muir” ranked as the No. 1 evening newscast in all of broadcast and cable in Total Viewers (7.484 million), Adults 25-54 (1.020 million) and Adults 18-49 (712,000) during the week of April 7, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.“World News Tonight” ranked as the No. 1 telecast of the day on Tuesday (7.490 million), Wednesday (7.494 million), Thursday (7.506 million) and Friday (6.964 million). In addition, “World News Tonight” stood as the No. 1 non-sports telecast of the day on Monday (7.996 million).
- “World News Tonight” outdelivered “NBC Nightly News” (6.089 million, 849,000 and 553,000, respectively) by 1.395 million Total Viewers, by 171,000 Adults 25-54 and by 159,000 Adults 18-49.
- “World News Tonight” increased its margins over “NBC Nightly News” versus the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+24% – 171,000 vs. 138,000) and Adults 18-49 (+24% – 159,000 vs. 128,000).
- For the third straight week, “World News Tonight” increased its margins over “CBS Evening News” versus the previous week in Total Viewers (+29% – 3.745 million vs. 3.660 million), Adults 25-54 (+9% – 529,000 vs. 487,000) and Adults 18-49 (+5% – 377,000 vs. 459,000). “World News Tonight” posted its largest lead across the board in 8 weeks (since w/o 2/10/25) and 2nd largest overall this season in Total Viewers.
- Nightly News is the only evening newscast to grow across the board vs. last year, up +17,000 in total viewers and +18,000 in A25-54
- Nightly News narrows the key demo gap vs. ABC by 20% in year-over-year measurements
- Nightly News closes the total viewer gap vs. ABC by 2% in week-over-week measurements
- Nightly News is the #4 most-watched show of the week with 6.089 million total viewers (LS, excluding specials, sports & syndication.
- For the third week in a row, “GMA” narrowed its year-to-year margins with “Today” in Adults 25-54 (-13% – 126,000 vs. 145,000) and Adults 18-49 (-5% – 79,000 vs. 83,000).
- “GMA” (2.732 million, 493,00 and 325,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.834 million, 317,000 and 200,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+898,000), Adults 25-54 (+176,000) and Adults 18-49 (+125,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,368 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
