iHeartMedia and Premiere Networks has greenlit a new radio show for Texas Senator Ted Cruz, expanding his popular podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz into a weekly one-hour broadcast.
The show, co-hosted by Cruz and radio personality Ben Ferguson, airs on over 100 stations nationwide.
“Verdict" offers listeners an insider’s perspective on Washington’s inner workings,” Cruz said, emphasizing its aim to deliver in-depth discussions on critical national issues. Initially started five years ago to defend President Trump during his impeachment trial, the podcast has grown into a top political program, ranking 12th on Apple Podcasts, 33rd on Spotify, and 39th on iHeartRadio.
The radio show extends the podcast’s format, with Cruz and Ferguson recapping weekly news, analyzing political developments, and previewing upcoming events. Ferguson highlighted the show’s bold commentary and insider access, calling it a “major force” in shaping national discourse.
“Senator Cruz’s insider perspective resonates with audiences,” said Julie Talbott, President of Premiere Networks, noting that the podcast’s success made its radio expansion an easy choice. The show aims to leverage broadcast radio’s reach to connect with millions more listeners weekly.
