TV Ratings: FNC Is Number Two Network In Primetime


During the week of March 10-16, FOX News Channel (FNC) averaged 3 million viewers in primetime (361,000 with A25-54), finishing as the number two network in all of television ahead of ABC (2.8 million viewers) and NBC (2.6 million viewers). In total day (6AM-6AM/ET), FNC posted 1.8 million viewers and 234,000 in the 25-54 demo. FNC commanded 63% of the cable news audience for the week across both primetime and total day. Since the election, FOX News has now posted the top 827 cable news telecasts. The Five marked its 17th consecutive week with over four million viewers.

For the week, The Five averaged 4.1 million viewers and 435,000 in the 25-54 demo, leading cable news with total viewers. In fact, The Five beat CBS Evening News (4,038,000 viewers) for the week. At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 3.1 million viewers and 342,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Ingraham Angle saw 3.2 million viewers and 373,000 in the 25-54 demo at 7 PM/ET. At 8 PM/ET, Jesse Watters Primetime delivered 4 million viewers and 478,000 in the 25-54 demo, which led cable news with younger viewers. At 9 PM/ET, Hannity posted 3.2 million viewers and 398,000 with A25-54. At 11 PM/ET, FOX News @ Night secured 1.7 million viewers and 258,000 in the 25-54 demo.

FNC’s The Will Cain Show continued to drive up the ratings at 4 PM/ET for FOX News commanding 2.2 million viewers and 266,000 in the 25-54 demo, a 73% increase with viewers compared to the same week last year.


At 10 PM/ET, FNC’s late-night offering Gutfeld! secured 3.3 million viewers and 445,000 with A25-54. Gutfeld! once again topped the broadcast competition including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (1,852,000 viewers; 286,000 A25-54), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1,398,000 P2+; 206,000 A25-54) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1,031,000 P2+; 246,000 A25-54). 

FNC continued to see a number of its daytime programs outpace the broadcast competition.


Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 2,274,000 viewers), Harris Faulkner’s The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11 AM/ET; 2,159,000 viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1-3 PM/ET; 2,151,000 viewers), The Story with Martha MacCallum (weekdays, 3 PM/ET; 2,109,000 viewers) and America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET; 2,069,000 viewers) all led CBS Mornings (1,869,000 viewers), NBC’s Today Third Hour (1,791,000 viewers), ABC’s GMA3 (1,330,000 viewers), NBC’s Today with Jenna & Friends (1,248,00 viewers) and NBC News Daily (1,138,000 viewers) with viewers.  

On Saturday: Life, Liberty & Levin (weekend, 8 PM/ET) was the most-watched show of the day with 1.9 million viewers and 173,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 6-8 PM/ET) followed with 1.8 million viewers and 205,000 in the 25-54 demo. FOX News Live (Saturday 10 AM - 2 PM/ET) was the top show in the 25-54 demo with 219,000 A25-54. At 9 PM/ET, My View with Lara Trump posted 1.7 million viewers and 170,000 in the 25-54 demo. 

On Sunday: Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures was the top show of the day with 2.2 million viewers and 272,000 in the 25-54 demo. Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (Sunday, 9 PM/ET) was the number one show in primetime with 1.9 million viewers and 212,000 in the 25-54 demo. Life, Liberty & Levin also posted 1.9 million viewers at 8 PM/ET.

“World News Tonight with David Muir” ranked as the No. 1 evening newscast in all of broadcast and cable in Total Viewers (7.492 million), Adults 25-54 (1.023 million) and Adults 18-49 (700,000) during the week of March 10, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.“World News Tonight” outperformed “NBC Nightly News” (6.114 million, 896,000 and 576,000, respectively) by 1.378 million Total Viewers, by 127,000 Adults 25-54 and by 124,000 Adults 18-49.
  • “World News Tonight” increased its lead over “NBC Nightly News” week to week in Adults 25-54 (+13% – 127,000 vs. 112,000).
  • For the 7th week running, “World News Tonight” was up year to year in Total Viewers (+2%/+134,000 – 7.492 million vs. 7.358 million).
  • “World News Tonight” stood as the No. 2 program of the week in Total Viewers (7.492 million) on all of broadcast and cable.


  • For the week, “World News Tonight” (7.492 million, 1.023 million and 700,000, respectively) beat “CBS Evening News” (4.038 million, 595,000 and 424,000, respectively) by 3.454 million Total Viewers, by 428,000 Adults 25-54 and by 276,000 Adults 18-49.
