Judge Judy Returning To Legacy TV

Judge Judy Sheindlin, the iconic TV judge, is making a triumphant return to the small screen this fall!

After a successful 25-season run with her syndicated courtroom series “Judge Judy” on CBS, she’s now set to compete with her own legacy.

Here’s the scoop: Sheindlin’s new show, “Judy Justice,” will grace our screens once again. However, this time, it won’t be on CBS. Instead, it’s heading to Amazon’s IMDb TV, a lesser-known free streaming service. The show will air on weekdays at 3 p.m. on Pix 11 in NYC.

But wait, there’s a twist! Sheindlin’s old bosses at CBS are caught off guard. They had hoped that local markets would gobble up reruns of her original show, “Judge Judy.” However, when Sheindlin introduced her fresh courtroom product, “Judy Justice,” stations had a new option. Now, CBS finds itself selling repeats of “Judge Judy,” which has less value in the marketplace compared to the original show. Meanwhile, “Judy Justice” aims to snag prime stations and time slots, creating a showdown between the two shows.

Despite CBS’s efforts to secure coveted time slots for their reruns, Sheindlin’s loyal audience seems ready to follow her wherever she goes. As her executive producer, Scott Koondel, aptly puts it, “If I broadcast her on a billboard in Times Square, she would draw a New Year’s Eve crowd."
