Audacy unveils a new afternoon show for The Fan Upstate (97.7 FM / 97.1 FM) in Greenville. “WIRE 2 WIRE,” starring Greg “Diesel” Abee and Cole Bryson, will air weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET beginning March 25. “WIRE 2 WIRE” replaces “Offsides with Marc Ryan,” who is moving to Audacy’s 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit.
“‘WIRE 2 WIRE’ allows us to elevate Diesel, who has worked alongside Marc for years, and Cole, who has done a great job with every sports assignment we’ve given him,” said Steve Sinicropi, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Greenville-Spartanburg. “‘WIRE 2 WIRE’ will be a live, local sports show with knowledgeable, well-known local talent, and I know sports fans will love it.”
“I’m excited to begin a new step in my career,” said Diesel. “To be doing this with a friend like Cole Bryson, with whom I have a ton of respect and a great relationship, is especially exciting. We will focus on delivering outstanding local coverage of the teams that resonate most with the Upstate community while elevating The Fan's brand through top-notch social media content. Ultimately, Cole and I are just two hungry, energetic hosts, driven by a passion for what we love the most – sports.”

“I am beyond excited to be hosting weekdays with someone I consider a true professional, Diesel,” said Bryson. “We promise to deliver a dynamic blend of entertainment and insightful content for our audience. Regardless of who you pull for in sports, we want you to be a part of our show.”
Diesel grew up rooting for the Clemson Tigers and attended Appalachian State University. He is a long-suffering Panthers fan, having attended games their first season at Clemson and growing up an hour from Charlotte.
Bryson has been a prominent voice in regional and national sports networks, with an extensive repertoire that includes D2 college football play-by-play, PA announcer for local colleges and contributing to ESPN+ broadcasts and high school football coverage since 2012. Bryson also hosts “The Saturday Morning Scramble” on The Fan on Saturday mornings during football season.
