iHM Promotes Angel Jarquin As SVP/Programming for Pacific Area


iHeartMedia announced Thursday Angel “Visa” Jarquin has been named Senior Vice President of Programming of the Pacific Area. 

The iHeartMedia Pacific Area includes stations in Fresno, Riverside, Monterey, Modesto, Stockton, Bakersfield and Spokane.

In his new role as Senior VP of Programming, Jarquin will be responsible for the oversight of programming and promotions across all Pacific Area iHeartMedia stations. He will report to Steve Darnell, President for the iHeartMedia Pacific Area.

“Angel has a successful track record programming some of the most dynamic station brands in the market. His creativity, leadership and background on-air make him perfectly positioned to lead our station programming to connect with listeners throughout the Pacific Area,” said Steve Darnell in making the announcement.

A longtime media veteran, Jarquin has been with iHeartMedia for more than 19 years, including on-air on B95 Fresno’s Hip Hop and Hits (KBOS) and 102.5 The Central Coast’s #1 Hit Music Station (KDON). He most recently, and will continue to serve as, the Program Director for B95 Fresno’s Hip Hop and Hits (KBOS), 103.7 The Beat, Fresno’s #1 for Throwbacks (KFBT) and 106.1 Bakersfield’s Alternative (KRAB).
