7 Entercom Country Stations To Air Concurrent Radiothons

Entercom has announced a unified launch of its annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon series, running December 10 and 11, in support of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.

Several Entercom country stations will devote on-air time to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, asking listeners to become Partners In Hope and give monthly. Because of generous supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Programming will run from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on December 10 and 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on December 11. Participating stations include U.S. 101 (WUSY-FM) in Chattanooga, US99 (WUSN-FM) in Chicago, 99.5 WYCD (WYCD-FM) in Detroit, New York’s Country 94.7 (WNSH-FM) in New York, KMLE Country @ 107.9 (KMLE-FM) in Phoenix, Y108 (WDSY-FM) in Pittsburgh, and 103.7 KSON (KSON-FM) in San Diego.

“We’re fortunate to unlock the generosity of our audiences with powerful stories of healing and hope, raising lifesaving funds to support children’s health and the selfless work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Pat Paxton, Chief Programming Officer, Entercom. “Children’s health is an important priority within Entercom Serves. We are thankful, in the midst of such a challenging year, for the opportunity to leverage our scale and unite with our listeners to support the St. Jude mission.”

“Entercom continues to be a kindhearted, steadfast partner to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital each year, and we are thankful for its support through our Country Cares for St. Jude Kids program,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. “We are truly grateful to the on-air talent, executives and listeners who support this radiothon and are helping to make the lifesaving work of St. Jude possible, giving our patients and their families hope.”
