Entercom has announced the promotion of Jayn to the newly created role of Music Supervisor for KLLC Alice@ 97.3 and KITS ALT 105.3. Jayn will continue as Assistant Program Director and afternoon drive host for Alice @ 97.3.

“Besides being the musical muse behind Alice for the past 16 years, Jayn has been an integral part of the ALT 105.3 music team alongside Aaron Axelsen [Assistant Program Director and Music Director, ALT 105.3],” said Greg Nemitz, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom San Francisco. “Jayn and Aaron together are an unstoppable force and will continue to make these two stations leaders in this market.”

“The words ‘dream job’ are overused but when they truly apply, you need to use them again,” said Jayn. “To work for Michael Martin [Senior Vice President of Programming and Music Initiatives, Entercom] this last decade-plus at KLLC, and now with him at KITS as well, alongside the iconic Aaron Axelsen, is truly my dream job. Jayn joined Alice @ 97.3 in 2004 as Assistant Program Director and Music Director. She expanded her role to midday host in 2006 before transitioning to afternoon drive in 2014.

Prior to that, she spent the previous eight years serving as midday show on-air personality, Assistant Program Director and Music Director for sister station 94/7 Alternative Portland (KNRK-FM) in Portland, OR. Other previous roles include on-air personality for KRZQ-FM in Reno, NV and KEDJ-FM in Phoenix.

Axelsen will remain in his roles as Assistant Program Director and Music Director of ALT 105.3.
