Des Moines Radio: Alex Mac Named APD At Alternative KDXA

iHeartMedia announced today that Alex Mac has been named Assistant Program Director for Alternative KDXA ALT 106.3, Des Moines.

As Assistant Program Director for ALT 106.3, Mac will be responsible for the station’s music and programming content, as well as its on-air personalities and digital extensions. He will also continue to serve as the station’s Music Director as well as broadcast from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. as the station’s Afternoon Drive Host.

Mac will report to Dustin Fletcher, Director of Alternative Rock Programming for iHeartMedia St. Louis and Greg Chance, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Des Moines.

“Alex has a bright programming future and has displayed all the characteristics of a great programmer,” said Chance. “We are excited to see him further develop his career.”

Prior to joining the iHeartMedia Des Moines market in October 2017, Mac served as evening host and promotions assistant for WRXL-FM in Richmond, Virginia, also where he began his career.
