Originally listed for $2.4 million, ex-WFAN host Craig Carton continually lowered the listing price of his sprawling Chester, NJ mansion over the last year, according to nj.com.
As the price dropped, Carton was embroiled in a legal battle that eventually led him to be convicted on multiple fraud charges last month for his role in a Ponzi scheme-like ticket brokering scam. He faces up to 45 years in prison. He is scheduled to be dentenced on Feb. 27.
The 9,345-square-foot “global luxury custom colonial” is now set to sell for under $1 million, according to its Zillow listing, less than half of what it was initially listed for.

The Morris County home went on the market almost exactly a year before Carton was convicted by a Manhattan federal jury of securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud during a one-week trial in November.
The home, which Carton purchased with his wife, Kim, in 2015 for $2.1 million, according to property records, has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and is located on more than four acres of private property.
The listing describes the home as having “timeless elegance with the perfect blend of privacy and views, while delighting the avid sports enthusiast.”
Highlights of the home include a master bedroom with a balcony overlooking the property, a chef’s kitchen, five fireplaces, two game rooms, a heated saltwater pool, a basketball court, a movie theater and a gym.
According to Zillow, property taxes for the home are $31,636 this year.
