Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's interview Monday with Fox News delivered 3.6 million viewers for anchor Martha MacCallum's show "The Story," the largest audience in the program's history, according to Nielsen Media Research.
According to The Hill, the interview with Kavanaugh and his wife, Ashley, was the top-rated program in cable news last night in total viewers, while registering 610,000 viewers in the key 25-54 demographic that advertisers covet most.
During the Monday interview that aired during the 7:00 p.m. ET hour, Kavanaugh vigorously denied the two sexual misconduct allegations made against him.
He also revealed he was a virgin through high school and college. Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse.
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said Monday. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
