The duo was previously on the air on WIXX 101.1 FM and departed in 2015 for Country WKTI 94.5 FM in Milwaukee.
They’re excited about their homecoming to the Green Bay-Appleton market.
“The way that it almost felt was like we were coming home from college for a while. We left for a little bit and now we’re coming home, and everybody’s just really happy to see us,” Tanner said. “… Everybody feels like family almost.”
Jake & Tanner replace Doug & Mary, along with sidekick Travis.
The husband-and-wife team of Doug Erickson and Mary Love, who had most recently been in the morning slot at KISS since February 2016, left in early September. Woodward management declined to comment on details, citing it as “a confidential personnel matter.”
The couple’s departure from KISS — they had also worked the morning drive at the station during a previous eight-year stint before leaving in 2013 to help launch sister station KZ Radio — drew a flurry of feedback from listeners.

“It’s the best of the old and the best of the new of our show,” Tanner told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “To the people who know what it was, they’re going to love what we’ve done. To the people who haven’t heard us before, they’re going to love what we are.”
