Cumulus Media unveiled a new live performance space in its radio studios at 2 Penn Plaza, high above New York’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, earlier this month, with an inaugural “drive by” appearance by Country star Luke Bryan.
Bryan was interviewed by NASH FM 94.7 host Jesse Addy in the new space, prior to the sound check for his Madison Square Garden concert later that evening. The venue features a 188” HD video wall, along with full-color LED ticker display, coupled with state-of-the-art audio equipment. It will serve as a “warm up” and meet-and-greet venue for live concerts, artist interviews and other listener events before artists’ shows at Madison Square Garden.
Chad Lopez, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-New York, said: “Everyone here at Cumulus New York was honored and thrilled to welcome Luke Bryan to NASH FM 94.7 as the first guest to play the drums right here in our live venue. As the excitement builds around our performance space, we look forward to all of the future top level artists that will be performing in our venue.”
John Foxx, Program Director, NASH FM 94.7, said: “Country in New York is something very special... You feel it in the music, in the streets, on the rails, and in the air. When it all aligns in one of the most magical and exciting places in the world, it's electric! Country has a home in the heart of New York! Thank you, Country music - Everyone is welcome at New York's NASH FM 94.7.”
