This follows the Christian broadcaster’s move last February to segue the syndicated morning show anchor into a “senior correspondent” role. He was replaced in April by then-nighttime host and Salem rising star Hugh Hewitt.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed and have learned so much in these past eleven years with Salem," said Dr. Bennett. "It was a special pleasure to hold a serious conversation with the American people about things that matter and I am grateful to Salem for that opportunity. I will now refocus my time and energy on the public policy areas of education and drug policy and, among other things, offer my advice to the new administration in Washington," Bennett added.
Bennett left the morning show last April and moved on to The Bill Bennett Interview, which was an in depth discussion with the nation's biggest business tycoons and entrepreneurs about how they became successful.
