Keith Larson, 9-Noon WBT |
Keith’s Ride is escorted by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit and supported by several other law enforcement agencies. The Ride leaves starts Matthews Fun Machines at 10am April 30 for a cruise to beautiful Lilly’s Bridge Marina on Lake Tillery and then ends at the News Talk 1110 WBT Studios at 1:30pm for a lunch from Cantina 1511 and live music from, “Lake Street Drive.”
The Ride supports the Club LAMA Kids Fund, a 501c3 started by Keith Larson. After years of rides and working with numerous charities, Larson wanted a way to easily help more of the “Ride Kids” year round and with that his Club LAMA Kids Fund was born. Each ride itself benefits several specific local children who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
There are many tax-deductible levels riders can choose, and everyone can contribute by becoming a “Deputy Rider” and ride with us in spirit by making a donation. The basic cost for a Rider and passenger to enjoy the whole day including breakfast, lunch, t-shirts, etc., remains $50. Non-rider participants can make a secure donation on the registration page.
Pre-registration is open now until 12:00pm on April 29, 2016 at wbt.com. Day-of registration opens at 8:30 am. Great camera opportunities for Keith’s Ride at 10:00 am when riders depart and at 2:00 pm when riders return to the WBT Studios.
News Talk 1110 & 99.3 WBT has teamed up with Heafner Financial, Hardees, Matthews Fun Machines, Cantina 1511 and Keffer Hyundai. Rider fees and your donations go straight to the charities, while WBT sponsors and WBT Radio cover the event costs to make Keith’s Ride 14 possible.
