SmoothFM has been crowned number 1 FM station in Sydney for the first time, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson continue their dangerous slide and Hamish Blake and Andy Lee are already working their magic in the Drive slot for 2DayFM.
Meanwhile, 2GB-AM surveys the Sydney radio scene from its ever-more lofty position at the pinnacle of the AM dial.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports there are hints of a changing of the guard in the ever competitive Sydney market.

Paul Jackson of Nova Entertainment, owners of SmoothFM, pronounced the result the highlight of his career, "I'm just over the moon," he said. "To be number one now is probably the highlight of my career. To start something from scratch with your own vision and build it from the ground up then go to number one and beat all the other huge stations and brands out there inside a three-year period doesn't generally happen."
But the champagne will remain on ice at KIIS1065, which was down .7 overall to 7.2. Of more concern to station owners ARN will be the numbers for Sandilands and Henderson's breakfast show, which have drifted down all year to settle at just 7.8 this month.
However, ARN's Duncan Campbell called the result a "one-off" and denied there was anything to panic about.
