The term of Walker's deal was not announced, but the 23-year station veteran will continue as afternoon host on WTEM and as a sideline reporter on the Redskins Radio Network.
"Rick 'Doc' Walker is a true champion," Carmean said in the statement. "Nobody is better at calling it like it is than Doc. Doc's sideline reports on game day are distinct, giving our listeners an up close and unique point of view. We are thrilled to have him back with us for another season."
Walker can be heard on "Inside the Locker Room" with former Redskins running back and return specialist Brian Mitchell and Scott Jackson at 2 p.m.
