On the heels of the news earlier this month that McDonald's is bringing back the Hamburglar comes word that KFC's Colonel Sanders is making a return.

The real Colonel Sanders who founded KFC died in 1980, so he's being brought back via Saturday Night Live alum Darrell Hammond, who will play the white-suited Southern gentleman in TV commercials that will start airing next week.

Colonel Sanders is making his comeback after a few decades away as part of KFC's 75th anniversary.
