R.I.P.: KHAG Morning Personality Scott Steele

Scott Steele

A long-time Cedar Rapids radio personality has lost his battle with cancer.

Scott Steele, who worked for seven+years as a morning personality at Country KHAK 98.1 FM, died Thursday.

In October, he and his wife, Misty, had a baby boy.  The couple didn’t expect to be parents until until Misty went into labor.

Scott had been through extensive chemotheraphy and was told he would likely never become a father, until Briggs was born.

Scott was diagnosed with stage-four colo-rectal cancer about five years ago.
