The surprise hiring of Kim "The Kimmer" Peterson
and Pete Davis at All News 106.7 last week meant less money for the regular
news staff.
The result: morning host Michelle Wright has been layed-off,
according to Rodney Ho at accessatlanta.com.
Wright, a Connecticut
native, was an original morning host on the station when it launched in May,
2012. Prior to All News, she worked as an anchor and editor for seven years at
CNN Radio before that group was dismantled in 2012. Before that, she worked at news/talk WDBO in Orlando .
Her former colleague and remaining morning host Andy Rose is
holding the reigns from 5 to 9 a.m. solo.
