A British scientist claims that listening to certain pop
songs while studying aids logical thought in the brain.
According to The Daily Mail, clinical psychologist Dr. Emma
Gray says pop songs with 50 to 80 beats per minute have a calming effect on the
brain which allows it to learn and remember facts more easily.
Gray also says emotive pop songs can produce a heightened
state of excitement that is likely to enhance creative performance in subject
like English, Drama and Art.
Gray says her research shows that students to listen to
classical music with 60 to 70 beats per minute while they study score an
average of 12-percent more on their Math exams.
