A contest looking to find Taylor Swift's biggest fan and
offer the person a chance to meet the singer was canceled after a middle-aged
man won the contest thanks to an Internet campaign, according to wcpo.com.
On Boston 's
WXKS-FM Kiss 108's website the station states:
On Tuesday, July 16 music websites such as Baeble.com began
soliciting support for a 39-year-old man identified as Charlie Z. who professed
his admiration for the 23-year-old pop singer in his contest entry message.
If Charlie had won, the station would have given him tickets
to a Swift concert and the chance to have his photo taken with the singer after
her show.
The incident is not the first time that an online contest
involving Swift and Boston
went awry thanks to the Internet.
Internet users hacked a contest offering to have her
"perform at your school" by electing her to perform at Boston 's Horace
Mann School
for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
