FOX News Channel (FNC) ended the week of May 4th with over 2.9 million weekday primetime viewers and 267,000 in the 25-54 demo. Securing 97 out of the Top 100 cable news telecasts among total viewers, FNC beat ESPN (2.4 million viewers and 1.1 million in the 25-54 demo) with primetime viewers during the NBA and NHL playoffs for the third consecutive week, according to Nielsen Media Research Big Data + Panel.
In Monday – Sunday primetime, FNC saw nearly 2.5 million viewers and in Monday – Sunday total day, FNC drew nearly 1.6 million viewers. Notably, CBS Evening News continued its ratings slide (3.7 million viewers, 473,000 in the 25-54 demo), with the program posting its fifth consecutive week under 4 million viewers and falling below 600,000 in the 25-54 demo for 14 weeks in a row. On Friday, May 8th, CBS Evening News also saw its lowest-rated telecast (3.4 million viewers) since Tony Dokoupil took helm of the program.
The Five commanded the week with nearly 3.7 million viewers and 318,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier notched more than 2.7 million viewers and 243,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 7 PM/ET, The Ingraham Angle garnered nearly 2.6 million viewers and 227,000 in the 25-54 demo. During the 8 PM/ET hour, Jesse Watters Primetime captured nearly 3.2 million viewers and 263,000 in the 25-54 demo. In the 9 PM/ET hour, Hannity secured nearly 2.7 million viewers and 247,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 11PM/ET, FOX News @ Night with Trace Gallagher garnered nearly 1.5 million viewers and 158,000 in the 25-54 demo.
FNC’s late-night hit program Gutfeld! (weeknights, 10 PM/ET) clinched over 2.9 million primetime viewers and 304,000 in the 25-54 demo, maintaining dominance over cable and broadcast competition in total viewers, including ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.9 million viewers and 261,000 in the 25-54 demo), NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1.3 million viewers and 309,000 in the 25-54 demo), and NBC’s The Late Show with Seth Meyers (872,000 viewers and 200,000 in the 25-54 demo).
FNC’s daytime programs continued to outshine broadcast competition. America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9AM-11AM/ET; 2 million viewers), The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11AM-12PM/ET; 1.9 million viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 2 million viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1PM-3PM/ET; 1.8 million viewers), The Story with Martha MacCallum (weekdays, 3-4PM/ET; 2 million viewers) and The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4-5PM/ET; 2.2 million viewers) all outranked CBS Mornings (1.8 million viewers), NBC’s Today Jenna & Sheinelle (1.4 million viewers) and ABC’s GMA3 (1.4 million viewers).

FOX News Live anchored by Aishah Hasnie (Saturdays, 12-2PM/ET) delivered 1.5 million viewers while The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 5-8PM/ET) co-hosted by Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones saw 1.4 million viewers. FOX News Live (Sundays, 12-2PM/ET) anchored by correspondent Mike Emanuel posted nearly 1.3 million viewers while The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 5-8PM/ET) delivered over 1.3 million viewers. In primetime, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (Sunday, 9 PM/ET) dominated the night with nearly 1.6 million viewers.
