South Bend Radio: Tommy Bickham Joins WNDV For Mornings

Sound Management CHR “U93” (WNDV-FM 92.9) in South Bend, Indiana, has named veteran Midwest radio personality Tommy Bickham as its new morning show host.

Bickham succeeds longtime morning host Tim Bayless, who is relocating to Florida after 11 years at the station. Bickham and Bayless are co-hosting together through Bayless' final show on February 25.

The announcement marks a key change for the heritage Top 40 station, branded as "Michiana's Number One Hit Music Station."  Bickham returns to radio after a brief hiatus. He most recently served as a contributing host and associate producer at WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois. His radio background includes on-air roles at Saga Communications at Hot AC “Mix 94.5” WLRW Champaign), Alpha Media, Federated Media (which operates in South Bend), Hot AC 102.3 WXLC Waukegan, IL, and “Froggy 102.7” WAOR Elkhart, IN.

In a statement, Bickham shared his excitement: “My wife, our dog Grouper, and I are so excited to call Michiana home. South Bend is a special place, and we already feel welcomed here.”

Program Director Lori Bennett noted that Bickham stood out among many applicants for the position.
