St. Louis Radio: 590 KFNS To Brand As “The Lou Information Station”

On June 1, 2025, Big Toe Media will relaunch “Fox Sports 590” KFNS (Wood River, IL/St. Louis) as “The Lou Information Station” under the new call letters KLIS.

This rebrand marks the introduction of a multi-platform digital content hub designed to resonate with the St. Louis community. The station will blend live and on-demand programming, accessible not only on AM 590 but also through the station’s website, a dedicated mobile app, YouTube, and major podcast platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The move aims to redefine local talk radio by offering fresh, engaging content tailored to the region’s diverse interests.

Dave Greene, President and Director of Sales for Big Toe Media, emphasized the station’s mission to revitalize St. Louis’ talk radio landscape. “When we set out to build The Lou Information Station, our goal was simple: to create a home for conversations that reflect the spirit of St. Louis—real, relevant, and local,” Greene said. “We’re blending the best of broadcast and digital to reach people wherever they are, with voices they know, like, and trust. Talk radio in St. Louis has gone stale, and the market is long overdue for a fresh approach. Our content will spark real conversations that people actually want to hear.”

Greene’s vision positions KLIS as a community hub, prioritizing authentic dialogue over formulaic programming. The station aims to address the region’s evolving interests, from the excitement of Blues hockey to the challenges of mental health and the vibrancy of local cuisine and entertainment.
