Philly Radio: WOGL-FM 'Love Our Kids' Radiothon Raises $245K+

Audacy Philadelphia has raised over $245,000 for the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy Department at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) during the 22nd annual “BIG 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon.”

“The Child Life Specialists at CHOP are the people who comfort kids when they need it the most. They are the patients’ best friends and the parents’ greatest gift, and we’re proud to leverage our platform to support them,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Philadelphia. “BIG 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon is a special event for us and our local community. None of this is possible without the generous support of our listeners and advertisers.”

BIG 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon was broadcast live from Audacy corporate headquarters in Philadelphia on December 7 and 8. The event was hosted by morning show host, Coop, alongside an array of co-hosts, including talent from sister stations at B101 (WBEB-FM), 96.5 TDY (WTDY-FM), Sports Radio 94WIP (WIP-FM), KYW Newsradio (103.9 FM / 1060 AM) and Talk Radio 1210 WPHT (WPHT-AM).

Specially trained staff on the CHOP team provide individualized care and support designed to meet the unique needs of children and families as they cope with illness, injury, treatment, hospitalization and the overall healthcare experience. They provide age-appropriate preparation, education, therapeutic and developmental play, creative arts therapies, and more.
