R.I.P.: Ric Swann, Longtime Eastern Iowa Radio Host

Former eastern Iowa radio host and disc jockey Ric Swann has passed away, KZIA Z102.9 announced on Wednesday in a Facebook post. 

Swann was first on-air for Z102.9 in 1998 and was co-host of the popular morning show "Schulte & Swann." They said he also worked on 102.9fm in the 90s. Swann left the station in March 2020, reports KWWL TV7. 

In the post, Z102.9 said that, "Ric was loved for his kind heart, beautiful voice and his outstanding sense of humor. He made us laugh on a daily basis!"

Swann was also the Program Director and Music Director for a number of different stations. He helped launch Z102.9's sister-station Smart-FM in 2017.
