Chicago broadcaster Seth Mason died Saturday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 71.
Mason was the visionary force behind two iconic radio brands, Alternative WXRT 93.1 FM and Sports WSCR 670 AM.
"Seth was one o Chicago broadcasting's most-unsung giants," according to journalist Charlie Meyersonm who was among dozens who careers were launched by Mason,
Mason retired from radio management and ownership in 1998.
