Devine Evans |
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles did not identify his victims.
The Porter Ranch producer, whose real name is Anthony Wade Evans, used his victims’ American Express cards in 2017 and 2018 to pay for airline fares for at least 30 different people, including his daughter, wife and mother as well as hotel reservations and event-related services for his own wedding, according to court records.
Authorities said he spent nearly $100,000 with the two credit cards.
Evans pleaded guilty in December 2018 to one count of aggravated identify theft.
Besides the prison sentence, he was also ordered to pay about $35,000 in restitution to American Express.
