Boston Radio: Karen Blake Lands PM Drive On WMJX

Entercom has named radio veteran Karen Blake as the new afternoon drive host for WMJX Magic 106.7 FM. Blake can be heard on air, weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

“Karen is a legendary personality with a storied career in Boston, and we are excited to welcome her to the Magic 106.7 family,” said Mark Hannon, Regional President and Market Manager, Entercom Boston.

“It is a privilege to return to the Entercom family,” said Blake. “I am looking forward to being part of an air staff that I’ve admired for years and am thrilled to be continuing my career in my hometown of Boston.”

The move marks Blake’s return to Boston after serving as morning drive host for WQRC on Cape Cod for the last five years. Prior to her time at WQRC, Blake served seven years as host of the morning and afternoon drives for WODS-FM (now sister station 103.3 AMP Radio) in Boston. From 1996 to 2005, Blake hosted the morning drive for WQSX-FM (now sister station WEEI).
