Entercom has announced a new and expanded long-term data partnership with Mediabase, the industry standard in airplay monitoring.
As part of the agreement, Mediabase will provide Entercom with comprehensive music listening and consumption data for the company’s portfolio of over 235 stations nationwide. Additionally, Entercom will report the company’s weekly station music adds to the Mediabase platform.
“For many years, Mediabase has served as a valuable tool to our best-in-class music programmers to curate live, original, local audio content for all Entercom stations nationwide,” said Jeff Sottolano, Senior Vice President, Programming, Entercom. “We are pleased to extend and expand our relationship to provide our teams with airplay monitoring data that will better inform their decisions.”
“We couldn’t be happier to expand our partnership with Entercom to be their exclusive provider of airplay monitoring data,” said Philippe Generali, President, Mediabase and President/CEO, RCS Worldwide. “This affirms our commitment to providing the most comprehensive, accurate airplay information to the entire music industry.”
Mediabase, a division of broadcast software provider RCS, provides in-depth, real-time charts and analysis based on the monitoring of radio stations in the U.S. and Canada. The company also publishes music charts and data based on the most-played songs – which are used on many popular radio and countdown shows, televised music awards programs, news publications and others – and provides in-depth analytical tools for radio and record industry professionals.
