Entercom/Phialdelphia VP of Music Programming Shelly Easton takes over the programming reins of AC WBEB B101 FM. The move comes after the departure of 11-year PD Chuck Knight.
Entercom and Knight parted company last week some two months after the company closed on the $5.7M deal with Jerry Lee Media.

“It’s been an honor and privilege to program WBEB, the greatest radio station in America, for the past eleven years. Thanks to Jerry Lee, [current GSM and former VP/GM] Blaise Howard, [former WBEB president and CEO] Jim Loftus and every single person on the WBEB team, past and present. It is successful because of all of them,” Knight told

“I know that WBEB is in the best hands with [Entercom CEO] David Field, [senior VP/market manager] David Yadgaroff, [president of programming] Pat Paxton and Entercom committed to the research and marketing pillars that have made the station a legend within the radio industry for decades. Great things are ahead for WBEB.”
Knight joined WBEB in 2007 after eleven years at Saga AC “Sunny 95” 94.7 WSNY-FM Columbus OH.
Easton will add the day-to-day programming duties for WBEB while continuing to oversee CHR WTDY 96.5 FM and Classic Hits WOGL 98.1 FM.
