Dees Entertainment Names Bob Catania Affiliate Relations VP

Industry vet Bob Catania has been named VP Affiliate Relations by Rick Dees, founder and owner of Dees Entertainment.

Catania has been working with Dees Entertainment the past year as a consultant but will now take on the VP role as the company expands with the addition of the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown.

Commenting on the announcement, Dees said, “The past year has seen tremendous growth of the Rick Dees brand with radio and now with the addition of the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown I felt it was time to have Bob in a full time role to best serve our client stations. We are excited to have someone with Bob’s experience with radio as our liaison to our stations and the music industry.”

Catania will be working closely with SVP Programming, Joe Kieley, who added, “Over the past year Bob and I have formed a great relationship and executed a vision for growing Dees Entertainment. The growth of the Dees programs and the addition of the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown plus our strong relationships with the labels are a testament to those efforts. I look forward to having Bob fully dedicated to this very important role.”

Catania is a long time label promotion executive with positions at various labels over the years in addition to running his own promotion company. Of this new position he said, “The past year working with Rick, Joe, and the entire team at Dees has been a great experience as this old dog has learned some new tricks about a different side of the business. I am excited at this career transition as it is something new but allows me to do what I love best and that is continue to work hand in hand with radio. The addition of the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown along with the Dees Programming gives me two iconic brands and products to present to radio.”
