Michael's mother Katherine has accused
concert promoters AEG Live of being negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray for
Michael's comeback concerts in London
back in 2009.
According to Reuters, AEG has denied any wrongdoing, saying
that Michael kept his addiction to propofol a secret and that they never had a
contract with Dr. Murray. Murray
was convicted of involuntary manslaughter of Michael through an overdose of
propofol.
Senneth testified that when he got to Michael's rented Los Angeles mansion, he
had no idea that it was indeed the pop icon laying on the bed.
- He said, "The patient appeared to be chronically ill to me. He was very pale and underweight. I thought perhaps this was a hospice patient."
- He said that Conrad appeared "frantic," but never mentioned that Michael had taken propofol. He testitifed, "He was pale, he was sweating, he was very busy."
- The trial will go into more details about Michael's drug addiction and his finances -- he was allegedly $400 million in debt at the time of his death.
