L-A Radio: Status Update..Frosty Now A Layoff At KLOS

Frosty Stilwell, who KLOS 95.5 FM furloughed in March, is now permanently out of his job at the station, according to pe.com citing a social media post by Stilwell on Monday.

“Yes it is true,” Stilwell wrote on Facebook to announce he would not return to the Frosty, Heidi & Frank Show. “Sadly, management at KLOS has terminated me and I am no longer on the show.

“It is now the Heidi & Frank Show, and I hope you will continue to give them your support,” he continued. “Don’t blame them, they had no say in this. Some of my best friends are in that room and I only wish everyone remaining on the show the best going forward.”

On March 23, Heidi Hamilton and Frank Kramer announced on the weekday morning show that Stilwell had been furloughed due to the loss of advertising revenue as the coronavirus pandemic spread and the economy crashed.

The radio hosts Stilwell mentioned include Gary Moore, who held down afternoons at KLOS, and Jim “JD” Daniels and Frazer Smith who worked weekends on-air at the station. All three had also been furloughed earlier this year.

The reference to Jonesy — former Sex Pistol Steve Jones, who hosted Jonesy’s Jukebox on Fridays — was not further explained in Stilwell’s post and could not yet be confirmed. However, the link to the Jonesy’s Jukebox page on the KLOS website was dead on Monday.
