Pittsburgh Radio: Ousted Talker Wendy Bell Says 'All Is Good'

Wendy Bell

Controversial radio-TV personality Wendy Bell has been ousted from her latest gig aas talk host on WJAS 1320 AM / 99.1 FM.

“All I can tell you is it’s a personnel matter and it’s currently being handled by the company,” said Michele Bradac, a spokeswoman for St. Barnabas, which owns the radio station.

TribLive.com reports the radio station posted a new weekday show schedule to its Facebook page about 8 a.m. Monday. It did not include Bell in her normal time slot, which had been 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Talk show host Glenn Beck is listed in that time slot as on Monday. Bell and her show are no longer featured on the radio station’s website.

In a Facebook post, Bell told her followers not to fret.

“All is good! Believe me. It’s all good,” she wrote.

Bell joined the radio station part time in January, and she was promoted to full-time status in March, hosting her own Wendy Bell Show.

Previously, KDKA Radio removed Bell from the air in September after she made controversial comments during her show. She suggested park rangers should “shoot on sight” people defacing public monuments. In October, she officially parted ways with KDKA Radio.

Bell was fired from WTAE in 2016, where she served as a longtime news anchor, over a Facebook post she wrote on her official work account in the aftermath of a mass shooting in nearby Wilkinsburg.
